Whether your selling or buying property, you're probably going to employ the services of an estate agent. Several local ones have been and gone over the years. In Syston we have local offices including Spencers (local branch), Spicers McColl (new local branch) and Taylors (established local company). Syston is also covered by some of the large Leicester based agents.

Taylors Started in Syston and now has offices in Leicester and Wigston.
Also has a letting department based in the Leicester Office.
Always carry at least a full page advert in the Leicester Mercury property guide.

Online? Looks as though they are planning a web site, but at the momement http://www.taylors-ea.co.uk/ just has a "Under Construction" page made with Frontpage. 4/9/99 - updated, has search and office details now.


Spicer McColl Recently opened offices in Syston, off the mini roadabout, so have no current information.

Spencers Been established on Melton Road for quite some time (Anyone know how long?) Tend to get used by any local builders for new properties. Has a main office in Leicester.

I've used the residential lettings division and found them to be very efficient. They found vetted tennents within a couple of weeks and do regular inspections with a follow up letter/report.

Just looking through your comments about Spicer McColl on your website. Says that the Spicer McColl site is no more than a glossy brochure. I've just visited there and found a full property search engine. They must have changed it since your last visit. Take a look.
